Hubby and I were invited by our friends to join them in their company's excursion at Chain O Lakes in Cleveland last weekend. Erstwhile friendship that almost gone stale, stirred up by undying sincerity and concern. Glad to be reunited again. Glad to see a sanctuary where human kind co-exist with nature like for example a lake provided with a slide designed for swimming among the adults and children together with some alligators – TRUE!!! I swear!! It’s kinda surprising at first followed by frightful concern and then later on, reverence set in. Of course, if one isn’t confident enough to look after himself, (and smart) then it’s not suggested to jump and explore the wilderness out of curiosity. Racoons are beautiful but peculiarly a scavenger like cats. They go out at night in groups akin to the dark bandits . . and the butterflies!! They fluttered back and forth the pine trees across the pool filled with Bahamas water which bathed us under the afternoon sun. Squirrels are as usual distant and jumpy but try your luck and you might be able to feed them instantly. I was not able to see an otter but instead a number of turtles stayed afloat the artesian water. No blue jays either but herons flew by the nearby thicket.
We had a wonderful time out there and wish we could do it again someday.
